College selection ranks as one of the three major decisions a young person is asked to make. Campus Planning provides the resources and consultation that enables students and their parents to make this important choice together.

David recently returned from Auckland, New Zealand where he served at Auckland International College as their US & Canadian College Counselor. AIC is a select private secondary school that offers only an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma to its students. The student population at AIC comes from 16 countries and 18 cultures. Approximately seventy percent of AIC’s students came from Asian countries. The majority of AIC students had the primary goal of gaining admission to North American and/or British universities. Princeton and Dartmouth are among the elite colleges and universities where Mr. Stoffer placed AIC students. Over the years he has placed students at every elite US college and university. This includes the placement of at least one student at every Ivy League school.

Dave Stoffer has over 30 years of experience in counseling and placement in higher education. A writer, speaker and frequent lecturer, David averages over 100 college and university visits per year and has visited over 1,180 college and university campuses. His knowledge of educational opportunities, campus life, and financial aid generosity of each individual college and university is second to none.

Mr. Stoffer has written articles in the “Journal of College Admissions,” “Solutions” and “College Bound,” all college admissions professional journals. He has been quoted in Kristin Davis’ book, “Financing College,” published by The Kiplinger's Washington Editors, Inc. Stoffer’s concepts and ideas are the basis of Ms. Davis’ chapter on “The Financial Side of Choosing a College.”

His speaking engagements have included being a keynote speaker at an Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrator’s Conference, a lecturer for the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountant’s and a guest lecturer for the National Association for College Admissions Counseling.

Stoffer's past experience includes serving as Director of Guidance at Hudson High School, Hudson, Ohio and Lely High School in Naples, Florida. Lely is the high school for Marco Island. He also served a Assistant Director of Admission and Assistant Director of Housing at the University of Akron as well as College Counselor at Magnificat High School, Rocky River, Ohio. The services of David Stoffer, through Campus Planning Inc., are or have been contracted by Perry, Rocky River, Solon High Schools as well as The Pardes School in Cleveland Heights, OH. These four high schools consistently send upwards from 85% of their students to colleges located across the nation.
